MIDIRS new clinical sites resource

Maternity health care professionals and midwifery students worldwide rely on MIDIRS evidence-based resources to support them and keep them abreast of the latest developments in midwifery and obstetric practice.

We aim to inform and update you on all matters related to pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Whether you are studying for an exam, undertaking your elective placement or experiencing your first clinical placement in a hospital or community setting, we aim to support you in your academic studies and practice-based learning.

As a result, we hope that our contribution will further assist you in developing your interpersonal and critical thinking skills - vital for effective maternity care.

In addition to MIDIRS recently enhanced Organisation Directory, we have created the Clinical Sites webpage, available through MIDIRS student www.midirs.org/practicedevelopment. Both these resources provide a quick and convenient means of finding key maternity organisations and professional bodies in the UK and overseas. Two brand new categories – Legal issues and Occupational Health have now been included, reflecting the increased cross-agency working that is synonymous with contemporary midwifery practice.
