MIDWIFERY BRIDGING PROJECT
~ Your Bridge to Practicing Midwifery in Canada ~
Are you a midwife who wants to work in Canada?
The MMBP is a bridging program for qualified midwives educated outside of Canada. It is designed to help you learn how to use your skills in a Canadian context. You do not have to be living in Canada to apply. The MMBP will assist you to prepare to meet the requirements for registering and practicing as a midwife in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories or Nova Scotia.
The MMBP offers you:
• A learning program with components tailored to your specific needs.
• Access to mentored practice in the Canadian model of midwifery.
• Intensive workshops through Canadian colleges and universities.
• Orientation to the Canadian healthcare system.
• Shared learning with colleagues from a diversity of midwifery backgrounds.
