Normal neonatal behaviour and the psychology of parenting

This webinar will be presented by Research Psychologist, Dr Joanna Hawthorne-Amick, who will talk about understanding how babies communicate and how we can help parents read their babies signals and cues. The process of attachment and the psychological aspects of parenting tasks will also be discussed.
Dr Hawthorne-Amick is an Associate Member of the Centre for Family Research, University of Cambridge. She is also the Director of the Brazelton Centre in Great Britain, whose work is about understanding babies in order to support parents. Joanna also trains and teaches health professionals throughout the country, particularly in Sure Start areas, and abroad. She also works with parents and preterm babies in the Neonatal Unit at Rosie Hospital, Cambridge.
