New Graduate Midwifery Programme Auckland, New Zealand
Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) Woman’s Health would like to invite applications for recently qualified Midwives to join our New Graduate Midwifery programme in July 2008.

Our programme is designed to consolidate your newly acquired Midwifery skills under the mentorship and guidance of our experienced team of Midwives. What better environment to do this in than at CMDHB.

We provide a unique service with over 8,000 births per year, a strong Midwifery focus, providing the LMC role to over 55% of primary care women (one of the highest in NZ) and boast an 83% vaginal birth rate. We offer primary, secondary and tertiary services, within a variety of hospital and community based settings.

Our 15 month programme involves rotation placements to our birthing suite, the newly combined 48 bed high risk antenatal/postnatal ward and the primary postnatal ward or rotating out to one of the three community units.

Ongoing support and mentoring from dedicated Senior Midwives, a Resource Midwife, a Clinical Midwifery Educator and Midwifery Development and Education Service ensures a supportive environment, facilitating your progress to a confident practitioner, invaluable to our dynamic team.

You will be remunerated based on your level of clinical experience as per the National Collective Agreement for Midwives.
