The Information Services team at MIDIRS have developed a new pre-prepared literature search to focus on the issues surrounding maternal obesity and the impact on perinatal and neonatal outcomes and the long term health of the offspring. Updated daily, the P178 Maternal obesity – impact on offspring Standard Search includes resources relating to the influence of maternal obesity on infant birth weight, perinatal morbidities and mortality and the risk of congenital anomalies. The search also includes resources relating to the relationship between maternal obesity and a range of conditions in the offspring including asthma, raised blood pressure and obesity.
