The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust is now accepting applications for their annual Iolanthe Midwifery Awards.
Midwives and students are welcome to submit an application towards a number of financial awards, to support midwifery education, practice and research.
Applications are also being accepted for funding for midwifery training and self-development, research, or to improve local maternity services.
This year, the Iolanthe Midwifery Awards 2018 will be offering an additional award of up to £1,000 to assist midwives in Returning to Practice.
There will also be an opportunity for doctoral research midwives to apply for the Midwifery Research Fellowship (up to £25,000) to support themselves while writing up their research.
The Iolanthe Midwifery Awards also highlights the work of previous Iolanthe Trustees with the Jean Davies Award and Elizabeth Duff Award.
The Jean Davies Award provides up to £5,000 towards a project that challenges inequalities in maternity care in the UK and.
The Elizabeth Duff Award offers up to £1,000 for a project around midwives supporting the midwife-mother relationship.
Applications for all awards should be submitted no later than 31st January 2018.
