Is your trust developing its provision of midwifery unit (birth centre) care? Would you like to share ideas on how to develop midwifery care pathways as part of the safety and personalisation agenda? If so, the Midwifery Unit Network Conference could be just what you need.
Speakers from all over the UK, from trusts with established birth centres, from NHS England and NHS Improvement, and the royal colleges are coming together to discuss safe and personalised maternity care, in the context of choice of place of birth, developing community hubs and increasing access to midwifery units.
Come to network, learn from colleagues, and share your knowledge and experience.
Sessions will include:
Midwifery care pathways and midwifery units across the UK – speakers: Dr Mary Ross-Davie, Dr Maria Healy, Cate Langley, Dr Marie Lewis, Matt Tagney, Birte Harlev-Lam, Sheena Byrom OBE, Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent and Dame Cathy Warwick.
Identifying and sharing good practice – midwifery leads from our three new Birth Centre Beacon Sites and presentations by RCM President Kathryn Gutteridge.
Evidence into practice – launch of new evidence-informed Midwifery Unit Standards, developed and presented by Dr Lucia Rocca-Ihenacho, Dr Juliet Rayment, Laura Batinelli, Ellen Thaels and Professor Christine McCourt, at City, University of London.
Prices for the conference are: £70.00 for senior managers, £35.00 for midwives and £20 for students/service users, plus booking fee.
