Nominations for the annual NCT Stars Awards 2017 are now open, providing an opportunity for volunteers and practitioners to be celebrated for their hard work and achievements.
This year there are two new team awards – Volunteer Team of the Year and NCT Team of the Year, as well as an opportunity for people to vote for the winner in their region.
NCT is seeking nominations for the following categories:
Volunteer of the Year
This award is for a volunteer who has reached out to include all parents from diverse backgrounds or parents who may be vulnerable to isolation.
They may have also promoted local maternity services to ensure more new parents are being supported in their area.
Practitioner of the Year
This awards highlights the hard work of practitioners who have built up their confidence in providing birth and parenting advice, as well as making the extra effort to ensure parents feel included and part of a supportive network.
Volunteer Team of the Year
Volunteer teams within NCT branches can be nominated for this award if they have created and successfully launched a regular Bumps & Babies event or introduced a project like Baby Bundles to provide essential support to vulnerable families.
NCT Team of the Year
This award recognises an NCT team that has shown excellence in working together to provide parents with support during the first 1,000 days.
The team could be volunteers, practitioners or NCT staff.
Nominations are now being accepted online here.
Closing date for entries is Tuesday 25 April 2017.
The NCT Stars Awards 2017 will be held in Central London in the autumn, with the date and venue being confirmed shortly.
