The first ever award-winners of the Perinatal Mental Awards 2017 have been announced by the Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) and Mums and Babies in Mind (MABIM).
The awards were presented to the winners at Imperial College, London, on Wednesday 13 September 2017, during the first Annual UK Maternal Mental Health Alliance Conference.
Each award was presented in recognition of perinatal mental health education, training and support across the country.
Speaking about the awards, Dr Camilla Rosan, Programme Lead for Families, Children, and Young People at the Maternal Health Foundation, said: “Early intervention for maternal mental health can have a dramatic impact on outcomes for mothers, fathers, children and the wider community.
“Our winners and runners up are making a real difference to the mental health of women and their families, helping to break the cycle of intergenerational mental ill health.”
