The one-day informative conference is inviting midwives and other healthcare professionals to learn about the latest developments and ongoing improvements in bereavement and neonatal care over the last decade.
Workshops include: ‘Recognising and managing conflicts between families and health professionals’, ‘Twin loss, listening to and talking with families (Butterfly Project) and NHSI safety champions.
There will also be a wide range of presentations such as: ‘Perinatal Mortality Review: Changing the way we look at deaths and making parents matter’, ‘Transdisciplinary evidence around inequalities and stillbirth: What’s to be done?’.
The Chair’s welcome will be presented by Sands Chief Executive Dr Clea Harmer and the keynote address will be given by President of the Royal College of Midwives, Kathryn Gutteridge.
The ‘Transforming Loss: Reaching out to meet the needs of parents’ conference will be held on Tuesday 25 September 2018, at York Racecourse.
