Researchers at the University of Oxford would like to hear from UK midwives on the experiences of perineal assessment after childbirth.
The start of the research ‘Midwifery assessment of the perineum after childbirth: A mixed methods exploration of confidence and culture’ is requesting midwives to fill out an anonymous online survey that will take approximately 10 minutes.
Midwives who are happy to be contacted for an in-depth interview on perineal assessment are asked to leave their contact details at the end of the survey.
If you do not wish to be contacted please leave this section blank.
All survey answers will remain anonymous and stored for three years after the research results have been published.
Sample specification for in-depth interviews
Researchers would like to hear from UK-based registered midwives who have completed the online survey in the first part of the study.
The study requires up to 20 midwives to be studied for this stage of the interview which is expected to take 30-60 minutes and audio recorded.
Participation for this part of the study is voluntary and participants can withdraw from the research at the point of interview transcription and anonymization.
Interviews can take place either over the phone or face-to-face.
