Well Mother will be holding its next ‘Shiatsu for maternity care’ course in Bristol, providing an insight into the practice and how it can be used by midwives and allied health professionals.
Since 1999, Well Mother has been offering courses for midwives to learn about shiatsu and how to use it to support pregnant women.
The course aims to explore how shiatsu skills can be incorporated into current practice and help develop a new way of looking at the maternity period, such as working with changes to family dynamics.
Shiatsu-based skills will also assist midwives personally for their wellbeing and preventing ‘burn-out’.
Participants are invited to attend the first two days of the course as an introduction for £180 (£160 for early bookings booked before Sunday 15 January 2017), Thursday 16 March and Friday 17 March 2017.
For midwives and allied health professionals attending the full 6-day course, it costs £465 if booked before Sunday 15 January 2017 or £495 thereafter.
The course will be held on the following dates:
- Thursday 16 March – Friday 17 March 2017
- Thursday 22 June – Friday 23 June 2017
- Thursday 21 September – Friday 22 September 2017
