‘Today’s Nurse-Midwives: Creating a Collaborative Community of Care’ will be exploring the latest in team healthcare, with industry leaders in attendance.
Student and professional midwives around the world are invited to watch the conference online where they can explore projects such as: optimising collaboration in the healthcare team, midwifery policy issue – why change is needed now and building bridges from birth centre to hospital: transfer and collaboration.
FNU’s conference can be viewed online here during all of the U.S Midwifery Week from Sunday 4 October to Saturday 10 October.
National Midwifery Week in the U.S was first created by the American College of Nurse-Midwives to celebrate midwife-led care.
FNU Associate Dean for Midwifery & Women’s Health, Tonya Nicholson said: “The importance of midwifery participation in effective teamwork cannot be over emphasized as we partner with women in their care. The best care for women utilizes the whole healthcare team with the united goal of improving access and quality of care.”
All conference sessions are free for everyone to view online.
