Avoiding Brain Injury in Childbirth: Obstetric emergencies in theatre survey

on 09 December 2021

The Avoiding Brain Injury in Childbirth (ABC) research project is looking for participants for a survey on obstetric emergencies in theatre.

The survey will ask for views on the management and training of impacted fetal head caesarean birth.

Responses from this survey will be used to develop a greater understanding within this area of maternity, and contribute towards developing a new programme on monitoring and responding to babies’ wellbeing during labour and managing emergency complications at caesarean section.

The ABC project is a new programme that is being research and developed by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), and THIS Institute.
