MuM-PreDICT researchers call for midwives to be part of a focus group

on 22 October 2021

The Mum-PreDICT research group is calling for midwives to become part of a focus group to determine what research outcomes are the most important for pregnant women with two or more long-term health conditions.

The aim of the focus group is to identify what should be researched to encourage studies to be conducted in these areas.

Researchers are interested in midwives to be part of the focus group (which will be hosted on Zoome and take 1.5 to 2 hours), especially those who have experience of working with pregnant women who have two or more long-term health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, depression, anxiety, etc.

Feedback from the focus group will become part of a bigger study to develop a Core Outcome Set, a standardised set of outcomes to be reported in studies of pregnant women with two or more long-term health conditions.

Midwives who are interested in taking part in the focus group can contact the research team at: s.i.lee@bham.ac.uk.

More information about the focus group can be found here.
