UKCS Seminar Series 2023

The United Kingdom Continence Society have announced their first webinars of 2023. Join them on 19 January 2023 at 17:00 for 'Postnatal Bladder Care 101'.

'Pregnancy and childbirth can have a significant impact on a woman’s bladder, health, and continence. This impact can result in both short- and long-term negative sequelae. All practitioners involved in the care of women in the immediate postnatal period have a duty to understand the physiological processes that can affect bladder function at this time, how to recognise any deviations from the norm, and how to respond to those concerns in an effective and timely manner to limit any damage.

This webinar has been designed for midwives and other professionals who care for postnatal women. We aim to provide an overview of the relevant anatomy and physiology, some useful and effective measures to improve clinical practice, and a discussion about real clinical situations and their suggested management plans.'

Moderated by Kathy Parsons with a panel discussion led by Jenny Munro, this webinar will cover topics such as reviewing relevant anatomy and physiology as well as postnatal bladder management: improving practice and patient outcomes.
