The Royal College of Midwives (RCM) has once again teamed up with Pampers for their #ThankYouMidwife campaign, to raise funds for the RCM’s Benevolent Fund.
This year Brit Award Winner and mother Paloma Faith has released a Christmas single ‘Silent Night’, which features on Pampers’ Christmas TV advert, as part of the #ThankYouMidwife campaign.
For each download of Paloma Faith’s single £1 will be donated to the RCM Benevolent Fund.
Speaking about the #ThankYouMidwife campaign, Paloma Faith, said: “I am so thankful to my midwives for the uncompromised care and support they gave me and my baby, which is why I jumped at the chance to be involved in Pampers’ #ThankYouMidwife campaign.”
The RCM Benevolent Fund is a charity set up by the RCM that supports midwives and maternity support workers in time of financial hardship and need.
The Fund provides financial assistance for those midwives in immediate need and gives them support to get their lives and careers back on track.
Chief Executive and General Secretary at the RCM, Gill Walton, said: “Midwives and maternity support workers work tirelessly to deliver safe, high quality care to women and their families’ right across the year and Christmas can be often the busiest time of year for our members.
“So we are delighted that Pampers’ continue to recognise the fantastic work in the UK midwives do to ensure every woman has a positive birth experience.”
